**TALENT SHOW PRACTICE FOR 2^ND GRADE WILL BE MAY 7 AT 2:30 PM. BEING SURE TO BRING MUSIC AND PROPS IF NEEDED.  You must have a note from your parent saying you can stay for rehearsal and stating who will pick you up from practice.

  We will read the story “Jingle Danceer”.  We will do related comprehension, vocabulary, and skills activities.  Our focus will be character, plot, setting, and prior knowledge.

**Writing
We will write about ceremonies and festivals.


*Cursive
We will write cursive sentences and attempt to transpose print to cursive.


**HOMEWORK
We will have a take home reader on Tuesday this week.  Your child will bring home a story that should be read to an adult.  The story booklet should be signed by the person listening to the story and returned to school on Wednesday.
